CRU Projects
The Environvet Baltic Network The long term objective with this project is that scientists at CRU and at other institutions generate a common understanding from their view-point for a environmentally sustainable development of the Baltic Sea region, with focus on animal health. This will be made by creating the Environvet Baltic network wit participants from Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and USA. In the future will hopefully scientists from Poland, Germany and Russia also participate. The immediate objective is to arrange a planning workshop in Estonia in August 2002 to plan the future activities for the network, e.g., courses, workshops and seminars. In this process the experience from colleagues from the University of Illinois, who have created the Environvet International, will be crucial. ReproSafe The ReproSafe programme addresses the issue of a growing scientific and public concern that chemicals in the environment may impair human and wildlife reproduction. It is supported by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) with 32.5 million SEK during a five-year period (2001-2006). For further information, click here.
